Will changing the driver on a print server propogate to clients who already have the printer mapped?

We have recently had some vista clients join our network and are unable to print so we set them up with individual drivers on there machine, however this seems to have upset the network printer as now when our xp users want to do a page preview or something excel it will hang for a long time.

Instead we now have found a Hp driver which is compatibile for vista, xp, 2k and 2003 and we would like to know if

changing the driver on a print server will propogate the new driver to clients who already have the printer mapped?

Thanks for your timeWill changing the driver on a print server propogate to clients who already have the printer mapped?1. You need to install and configure in every PC.

2. You may broadcast the driver and configuration from server.

3. Your server must be compatible to all features of Vista. If the printer server is with XP and users are with Vista there may be some limitation of printing. (I faced this problem some time back when XP was launched. The print server was with 98SE and it was not printing from XP client)

4. Without configuring all users it may print but not sure of what it would print !!
