Will changing the priority of a processor Intense application make it run faster?

I know what priorities are in XP but if I change the priority of processor Intense application(i.e. a game like far cry 2) will i be able to run it faster? Will changing the priority of a processor Intense application make it run faster? No. CPU's tend not to affect Game speed, the GPU does. Priority means that if you have two files extracting at the same time, and you set one to have a higher priority via task manager, it slows down the first extractor, and gives the speed to the second that you set the high priority for. This will make the application run faster, but games wont make a difference.

Will changing credit card providers effect credit score?

If i already have a credit card from company A and i decide to open a new account with a completely different company then cancel the old card from provider A once the balance is paid off will this effect my credit score? Will changing credit card providers effect credit score?Yes, it will. Card A will reflect a negative when it's closed. So keep it open, but leave it at zero. Card B will decrease your score because of the inquiry, but it will redeem itself in 6 months of having your card open and in good standing. I cancelled an old card and my credit dropped 17pts! I advised the same thing to my brother and his credit decreased 6 pts then the next 2 months it went up 36 pts! Will changing credit card providers effect credit score? When you close a credit card account, you close the history. Unless the account has a large annual fee, keep it open. Use it occassionally to keep the account active and pay it in full.

It's always a good idea to only charge what you can afford to pay in full every month.

Will changing traditional HW radiators to flat panel (Runtal VLX) cause Boiler to cycle more often?

We are contemplating changing a gravity HW radiator system to low profile flat panel radiators (Runtal) (we've already changed to a new boiler and added a pump). My concern is that given the flat panels have far less mass, and water volume, that the furnace / boiler and pump will be required to cycle on and off far more frequently. Generally speaking anything mechanical that frequently cycles on and off wears out quicker.

We've changed out one old radiator to a flat panel and found that (even though the BTU output is supposed to be matched to the room by a Runtal rep.) the room never gets as warm as it used to with the large mass radiator.

I am looking for confirmation on the equipment life question, And that the change is also ultimately less energy efficient than the older larger mass system (assumes high efficiency boiler/furnace on both). Will changing traditional HW radiators to flat panel (Runtal VLX) cause Boiler to cycle more often?I think you need to get a very knowledgable HVAC person who understands hot water systems. This is a very detailed question that you need the Runtal rep and your HVAC contractor to look at.

Are you sure that you can use the flat panels on a gravity HW system? Can you mix and match? Can you put in a high efficiency boiler and pump on pipes designed for gravity HW?

Will changing my CPU to a higher clocked version affect Windows Vista?

Will changing the fuel pump and fuel filter help bad ideling in my car?

My car idles bad at standstill and when taking off. Im having to push the gas pedal in more to take off at stop lights and signs therefore I feel like Im sucking up my gas.I drive a 02' Benz E320.Will changing the fuel pump and fuel filter help bad ideling in my car?Fuel injector cleaner, tune up(spark plugs, wires, distrib cap), higher octane gas. New fuel pump and filter can't hurt. You may be able to adjust the throttle cable bolt a little as a temporary fix. If you get a manual for your car, it will be easier to perform maintenance on it. You may try having the fuel injectors professionally cleaned. Rough idle can come from alot of things, unfortuanately. Will changing the fuel pump and fuel filter help bad ideling in my car?sounds more like a fuel, air mixture issue. now if the miles are high, then fuel pump or even fuel filter could be an issue. being a benz you should be able to put a scanner on the car and see what codes show up for issues. Will changing the fuel pump and fuel filter help bad ideling in my car?Sell it and get a car that won't cost you an arm and a leg to take it to the Benz Surgeon...

But doing what you said sure couldn't hurt it.Will changing the fuel pump and fuel filter help bad ideling in my car?Try this: get some carb cleaner from the auto parts store.remove the filter housing around what we in the automotive mechanics business affectionately called the throttle body. what happens is over time the thang get all gummy and won close the flap, if that flap do not close then them air get into the mix and fluctuates the engine RPMs. this can cause the motor to die at a stop when the air conditioner is running. It is an easy fix. just clean the flap with the spray while moving the throttle linkage. be sure to put back the air filter housing onto the throttle body before starting the vehicle. It will be as if you had a tuneup. Will changing the fuel pump and fuel filter help bad ideling in my car?I doubt that fuel filter or pump is the problem. maybe fuel filter if it is completely clogged.

The first thing I would do is clean out the throttle body (small can of $2 carb cleaner, disconnect intake at throttle body, and clean the throttle plate) It should take 30 minutes or so. If you have not change fuel filter in last 50K miles, then I would change that as well.

If that does not fix the problem, then I would look at fuel pressure regulator. Pressure test the fuel system to make sure that the fuel pressure regulator is working properly.

The under power of the car is rarely has anything to do with problem with the fuel system. problem with fuel system would either stall the car, or generate puff of black smoke. Has nothing to do with the fuel system. If you feel that the car is underpowered, then it has more to do with ignition system. When was the last time you've changed the spark plugs? I would look into ignition system tune up first. Will changing the fuel pump and fuel filter help bad ideling in my car?B service and scan at a MB dealer.

Will changing from vista to windows 7 (RC) compromise the battery life of my Thinkpad t400?

Hi i just ordered a Lenovo T400 and would like to know if changing the operating system from the included Vista Home to Windows 7 RC will noticeably shorten my battery life if at all. Thanks in advance!

Also! I have only been thinking about it and have not had any experience with windows 7 rc and would like some input on the pros and cons between vista and 7rc and if it is worth switching. Thanks again. Will changing from vista to windows 7 (RC) compromise the battery life of my Thinkpad t400?You will probably see more life out of your battery with Windows 7, in some cases up to 11%. See this article for more info on that: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/Windows-7-

So far people seem to love the RC. It is a stable OS, but not finalized so be cautious before running it as your sole OS on your main computer.

Will changing the tires on my road bike be sufficient to be able to use it on a gravel trail?

Are there other adjustments that need to be made, or is the whole idea wrong? Will changing the tires on my road bike be sufficient to be able to use it on a gravel trail? It really depends on your bike - The main issue is how much room do you have for clearance particularly on the front fork, and also on the rear brake bridge.

It also depends a little on the trail - if you want to generally ride on rough trails and loose gravel I'd recommend at least 32mm wide tires (or 1 3/8 in if you on 27%26quot; wheels) 35 is even better. On some touring frames you can fit 40mm. For packed grave and hard dirt 28mm will do okay, but not be great.

I don't want to be too quick to generalize but MOST of the more recent (last 15 years) performance oriented road bikes probably don't have clearance for anything over 28 if that. But if you bike is an older bike from the early 80's or more of a touring model of any vintage there will be room for 32mm.

I wouldn't stress much about spoke count. If your bike came equipped with 20 spoke wheels it won't have clearance for wider tires anyway. You will not want to go bashing the wheels are Mountain biking type rocks and jumps unless you do have 32 or 36 spoke double or triple walled rims, but for just path riding it shouldn't be a problem. Will changing the tires on my road bike be sufficient to be able to use it on a gravel trail?you probably can;t get fat enough ones to fit

wleWill changing the tires on my road bike be sufficient to be able to use it on a gravel trail? It depends on the road bike, but probably not sufficient.

If your bike has low spoke count wheels (under 32 spokes per wheel) or is currently equipped with tires under 32mm wide then it is very likely that larger tires won't fit even if you wanted to do it.

Look at the existing clearances between the tires, frame, and brakes. If there is 1/4%26quot; (8mm) or less clearance at any point then bigger tires will be unlikely to fit. If you do have sufficient clearance, proceed carefully, and when riding on gravel expect an increase in the occurance of flats.

You will never have as good a ride or handling characteristics when using a road bike on gravel since frames are developed for use on hard roads but this might not bother you. The %26quot;whole idea%26quot; isn't wrong as there are road bikes (called 'flat bar road bikes' or 'hybrid bikes') that can double as road/gravel rides. Will changing the tires on my road bike be sufficient to be able to use it on a gravel trail? Most road bikes have limited space for larger tires. I would switch to a hybrid bike that uses 700 X 32c tires or wider for gravel roads and bike paths. Get one that doesn't have shocks they are more efficient.

Changing hockey sticks curve from Drury to Heatley, what will change?

I have the old stealth with a drury curve and am getting an S17 with a heatley curve soon, what will the differences I will notice on the ice. I play highschool hockey at a high level so this will be important, thanks.Changing hockey sticks curve from Drury to Heatley, what will change? They both have a 1/2%26quot; curve

Drury is a heel curve, Heatley is a mid. So the release point on your shots will be a little further down the blade. Just something to get used to.

Drury has a 5.5 lie, Heatley is 5, which means your new stick will have a little bit more angle between the shaft and blade, meant for players you stickhandle further away from their skates. (not a huge difference 5.5-5)

Drury has a round toe, and the Heatley blade has a rounded top and square bottom. This just means that the Heatley blade will be a little better for digging along the boards. This will not affect any other part of your game, and is just a personal preference thing.Changing hockey sticks curve from Drury to Heatley, what will change? You will experience the following:

  • How will changing the ISO setting on my SLR change the actual image?

I shoot using 400 ISO *FILM* in a Yashica FX-3 camera and I've heard people shoot at different settings other than using 400. How much would I need to compensate with the light meter? How will changing the ISO setting on my SLR change the actual image? The ISO setting and the light meter together determine the shutter speed. If you use 400 film and set it higher the camera will think you're using a faster film and decrease the shutter speed, so you will be underexposed. If you set it lower the camera will think you're using a slower film and therefore it will be overexposed. This can be very useful if for example you have a brighter object which is %26quot;fooling%26quot; your light meter - you can deliberately overexpose that object so that you capture the background. I'm afraid you're going to have to use some film to see what it does exactly! How will changing the ISO setting on my SLR change the actual image?the higher the setting the grainer the picture, but this allows for less light to still take the photo. How will changing the ISO setting on my SLR change the actual image? If you set the ISO setting to 100 when you have 400 film in it will over expose the image.

A favourite trick of mine was to underexpose slide film which means the colours would be deeper..

Faster film does tend to have the %26quot;grain%26quot; further apart to enable higher shutter speed. so images will show this when printed.

Also if you change the ISO rating on a film then you have to change the development time so if you have them developed by a lab inform them you have changed the ISO setting. How will changing the ISO setting on my SLR change the actual image? An image is formed by the lens...as determined by its focal length, f/stop, abberations, and other characteristics. The quality of the image remains the same despite ISO, chip capacity or any other manipulation device. The file, however, of that image changes with the manipulation. The ISO or speed of the capturing device, be it film or chip, is a measure of how fast it can capture the image in a given timeframe. The better the device, the more information it can capture, store and reveal about the image. By increasing the %26quot;speed%26quot; of the capture medium, you are decreasing the time it takes to capture all the information possible. Unfortunately, there are practical limits to speed as determined by the quality of the medium and the availability of light from the subject. %26quot;Faster%26quot; settings (IS0 400 for example) generally yeild lower quality captures compared to optimum settings (ISO 100-200). If the subject is moving, you may opt for freezing it in time using the fastest settings. But if the subject is still, lower speed settings generally result in higher quality pictures (views or prints of the captured image). As the photographer, you make the creative decisions to achieve desired outcomes. How will changing the ISO setting on my SLR change the actual image?the iso shows how sensitive the film is to light - the higher the number...the more sensitive it is

for example...if you were to shoot long exposure with only the full moon for light, you would need to use a very high iso film so as to pick up as much light as possible from the lack of light there is-

if you are going to shoot in direct sunlight, then you do the opposite and use iso 50 or 100

the only problem with using a high iso number is that it becomes very grainy and so is hard to do long-exposure pictures without noise

    hope that helped

Will changing my dimmer switch allow me to convert to CFLs?

I have a room with about 7 wall mounted lights on a single circuit, with an OLD dimmer switch. Regular CFLs don't work with dimmer switches, and the new %26quot;dimmable%26quot; CFLs generally only work with NEWER dimmer switches. Since we don't USE the dimmer at all and I have a TON of free CFLs from Yahoo Answers, can I just replace my dimmer switch with a normal ON/OFF switch and then use the CFLs? Or is there still a problem because there are 7 of these lights on one circuit? Anybody know? Will changing my dimmer switch allow me to convert to CFLs?Yes.

The average light switch and corresponding circuit is rated at 15 amps. To see how many CFLs it will handle, first compute the total watts the circuit is capable of by multiplying 15 (amps) times household voltage, 120 volts (assuming you're in the USA). That gives you a maximum load potential of 1800 watts available for that circuit. Then, add the total (actual, not equivalent) wattage of the CFLs you intend to use. Let's assume you're using a CFL with the equivalent output of a 100 watt incandescent bulb. The actual power consumption for a 100 watt equivalent CFL usually runs between 23 and 30 watts. Let's assume 30 watts (worst case scenario). Let's also assume you have 10 sockets instead of 7, for ease of computation. 30 watts times 10 bulbs equals 300 watts. Given these data, you could run 50 more CFLs off that one circuit. Compare that to 18 100 watt incandescents and you have a pretty good idea of the power savings of CFLs. And this doesn't even take into consideration the room heating that takes place with power hungry Edison bulbs.

The only drawback I've found with CFLs is their ballast (the electronics in the base) makes them somewhat frail when compared to incandescent lamps. They don't like confined spaces. The electrolytic capacitors and other electronics can suffer from heat build up. So, use them in an open fixture only. Will changing my dimmer switch allow me to convert to CFLs?I'm pretty sure that footballs will not make your house any brighter

Will changing my dimmer switch allow me to convert to CFLs?The CFLs should be fine, but check the wattage of the CFLs and the bulbs in the current configuration to make sure you don't overload the circuit. Some bulbs are only 25 watts, which can be less than some CFLs. Since you have seven bulbs on one circuit, the total power could potentially overload the circuit.

If everything checks out, then go ahead, change the dimmer to a conventional switch and install the CFLs.Will changing my dimmer switch allow me to convert to CFLs?Yes, you can replace the dimmers with standard on-off switches, and that will keep the CFL's happy. The switches cost about half a buck each, and installing them is trivial. You may need new wall plates as well as switches. As for the previous response, if you are using CFL's where incandescent lamps once were, you aren't going to overload anything.

Leadership is 100% vital, crucial, lifeline for any nation, organization, etc. There are presidents who are messed up with sexual misconduct etc. Obama is straight, discipline and has many strong characteristics and come from humble and yet good academic and political exposure. Such a leader is hard to find. To you, he may not measure up as the 'ideal man', but we can make him one great leader, a wise facilitator of the nation, a model for the world.

Obama marks an important chapter in change. It is not superficial. he can impact the whole culture, atmosphere, affecting social, economy, health and education, world peace. Journey to a thousand miles start with first step. Never look back (except only to learn from past mistakes) and we need forward looking, cosmic thinking leader. A correction here. He is actually the model of microcosmic culture blending black and white, is a providential, significant movement in this changing world. (In short, the fact is he is half black and white, and if you guys black and white don't unite and support him, who will? First of all make sure you do not have any malware in the form of viruses or spyware. Run your anti virus and anti spyware programs in order to clear out any beasts. Spyware is becoming more and more of a problem because some spyware is extremely difficult to identify and even more difficult to remove.

If you do not have any protection both of these are exceptional and available for free:

    Anti spyware I suggest:

    http://www.superantispyware.com/

    Anti virus I suggest:

    http://www.avira.com

Remove junk %26amp; temporary Internet files that may be cluttering your system by running Ccleaner ?free for download from:

    http://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

You may have too many programs kicking off at start up. These two free downloads allow you to take control what applications run at start up:

    http://www.glarysoft.com/quick-startup

    http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml

Your hard disk may be getting full. You need at least 15% of free space for it to operate efficiently. Go to Control Panel %26gt; Add/Remove Programs %26amp; remove any applications you no longer use. How about removing all those pictures %26amp; music that is filling up your hard drive?

Your hard disk(s) may be fragmented. Windows has a built in defragmentation program but you can download a quicker third party program for free:

    http://www.auslogics.com/en/software

Your registry may be cluttered or corrupt. Ccleaner mentioned above also has a registry cleaner but how about downloading another very good free registry cleaner:

    http://www.eusing.com

How about overheating? Clean all the vents on your computer with an air duster (can of compressed air). If a laptop, operate it on a hard surface so that air can flow freely around it. For a desktop, open it up and clean inside with the air duster.

Finally, after you have done all the above may need to upgrade your RAM. Normally Windows XP is quite happy with 1GB but for Windows Vista I suggest upgrading to 2GB to get equivalent speed and efficiency. In order that you get the right type of RAM for your system do a free scan at Crucial to determine your RAM.

    http://www.crucial.com/ for USA

    http://www.crucial.com/uk/ for UK

Good luck with your quest and I hope these suggestions improve your system.

You should reinstall your operating system, which, in turn, will ask you if you want to format your drives. This will give you a %26quot;new%26quot; harddrive without needing to buy one, since essentially what you did is exactly the same thing with the new one that you were going to buy, but without purchasing a new harddrive.

Reinstalling your operating system is the best way to go, but make sure you back up all your data to drives that won't get formatted. If you aren't sure where the viruses are, perhaps it's a good idea to format all volumes.

Will changing my spark plugs make my car run smoother?

I have an old fiesta 1996, done about 68,000 miles - bit of a rusty engine but still running okay even if a little loud! Just wondering if I changed the spark plugs would it give me a bit of a smoother engine or not really make much difference?

Thanks in advance! Will changing my spark plugs make my car run smoother?you would be better off giving a full engine service, filters, plugs, oil. Will changing my spark plugs make my car run smoother? If you buy straight replacements, same as originals, you will get a smoother engine. Old plugs will have worn electrodes and carbon deposits, so will not spark with as much energy and don't burn as much fuel. New plugs will have more energy and better fuel consumption.

If you buy better replacements, look for Triple Platinum or Iridium Power at Halfords, you will get even smoother engine because they get better fuel efficiency and burn more fuel. You spend more, say 30 for set, but you save maybe 300 in fuel in a year.

Even better you can boost this even more by getting the coil replaced. better coil (around 40) gives more energy, so burns fuel more efficiently and saves maybe 400 a year with new plugs too!

Hope this helps! Will changing my spark plugs make my car run smoother?well it wont do any harm i would sugest full service spark plugs, air, oil, and fuel filter adjust the tappet clearance- this is will help with engine noise and a fuel treament through the petrol redex or forte. if you are doing this yourself a haynes manual(which you can borrrow from your local library) and a set of feeler gauges will come in handyWill changing my spark plugs make my car run smoother? If one or more of the plugs is worn and breaking down, then yes it will make a difference. You can still have a bad wire, causing a %26quot;miss%26quot; also. A general tune up, with a fresh air filter, fuel filter goes a long way towards making the car run better....68,000 miles, heck it's just broke in lol. Will changing my spark plugs make my car run smoother? Some body suggested iridium plugs, no way, not for your engine. Waste of money, mind you, I've got them, but I run an engine that revs to 7,000 rpm!

If the plugs are in good condition, then of course changing will make no difference. Will changing my spark plugs make my car run smoother?Full tune up, cap, rotor, plugs and wires would be a good idea, plus the filters and oil. The plugs themselves might help a lot, might barely help, depends on their condition and the condition of the other partsWill changing my spark plugs make my car run smoother?if its an ohv engine you want your tappets set...its a simple job and you'd be amassed how much quieter the engine will be....and ide still change the plugs as it wont hurt it..Will changing my spark plugs make my car run smoother?Yes put in new Plugs PLUS PLUS put on new H T cables. It is very likely the plug %26amp; coil cables are well past their best.

Thought about a new timing belt too???

Tappets??Will changing my spark plugs make my car run smoother? No, sparks are only there to start the engine. So it will not make the engine run smoother, only the ignition.

Will changing my tires change my speedometer?

We have changed my cars tires from P20570R15 to a P20575R15. Will this put my speedometer out? And will it make my speedometer to fast or to slow? Will changing my tires change my speedometer?Only if you seriously change the aspect ratio of the tires. For instance, if you take a 195/70/14 tire and replace it with a 205/60/14 tire, it will stay the same, but if you use a 205/70/14 it will be off. Your tire salesman should be able to tell you which ratio will keep you accurate. Keep in mind that the amount of error will also increase the faster you go. While it may be only slightly of at 5 mph, it will be more off at 70 mph.

In your case, I wouldn't be too worried. Will changing my tires change my speedometer?Car speedometers aren't 100% accurate to start with. The 75 series tires you have installed may be a tiny bit taller than the 70 series tires you had, but they're not that much different to make a noticeable difference in your car's speedometer readings. Will changing my tires change my speedometer? This will have no affect on your speedometer. The 205 is the height of the tire and the 75 %26amp; 70 is the width. Since the 205 is the same your speedometer will still be accurate. Will changing my tires change my speedometer?your speedo may be a couple on mph slow..ie your going 65 but speedo reads 62,,,not a big thing if you pay attention..75 series tires are a bit taller and spin slower..Will changing my tires change my speedometer? That depends on whether the 205 70r 15 is the factory tire size or not. If it isnt, likely your speedo has been wrong anyway. However, changing the tire size from 205 70 to 205 75 will not raise it much. For instance, if you are driving and your speedo says your going 60, then you will be actually going 61.8 mph. You will be going faster compared to what your speedo reads. Here is a link to help with these kind of figures. http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_libWill changing my tires change my speedometer?the middle number won,t change it any. now if you put say a 14 inch or say a 215 or 235 on it then your speedometer will be off. Will changing my tires change my speedometer? There are a lot of confused answers to you question, so let's start with the basics.

The 205 in your tire is it's width in millimeters (about 8%26quot;). The next number is the aspect ratio which is used to calculate the tire's height. You multiply the width by the ratio (it's a percentage). So, in the example you present you are increasing the percentage which means the tires will be HIGHER by 5% or 10.25 mm which is just under 1/2 and inch.

Using this new information you can calculate the tire's circumference and learn that the new tire is just a hair more than 3% larger than the original one.

So a 3% difference in circumference will affect your speedometer reading by -- guess what-- 3%. It makes no difference whether your speedometer was accurate before or not, the new tire will show a difference of 3% less than what it showed with the original tire. If it was already wrong, it will still be affected.

The reading on a speedometer is obtained by %26quot;counting%26quot; the revolutions of the tire and converting it into a certain number of miles (or kilometers) per hour, so a tire which travels a larger distance, because it is a longer circumference, will be actually going faster than a smaller tire which advances less when it makes one revolution.

It also doesn't make any difference how fast you are traveling, there will still be a difference of 3%, however, 3% of 10 mph, is, of course, less than 3% of 100 mph, but the difference still is 3%.

How do you find out if your speedometer is accurate? Find a stretch of road where you can mark off exactly one mile. Then travel over that stretch of road with your speedometer reading exactly 60 mph. Use a timer to see how long it takes you to travel that distance. If your speedometer is accurate, it will be exactly 60 seconds, if you take longer, your speedometer is reading high, and if you take less your speedometer is showing a lower-than-accurate speed.

    End of speedometer class!

Will changing my chainset and cassette make my bike faster and smoother to ride?

I have a Batavus and want to change the chainset and cassette. Can i put on a road chainset and can i do it all myself. I don't have any experience but think it looks straight forward enough. Also what kit would i need? And would it make a lot of difference to the cycling experience? Will changing my chainset and cassette make my bike faster and smoother to ride?Possibly. It depends on the condition of your current chain and cassette. The chain is the part that wears out the fastest. A cassette should last a very long time if it's cared for. But, if you rode for a long time on a worn chain that would damage the cassette.

To perform the repair you'd need a chain tool and a cassette removal tool. Both are specialized tools that are only for those tasks. The cassette tool is made for either Shimano or Campagnolo. Be sure your chain (new or old) is adequately lubed too. That will make a big difference in the quality of the ride. Will changing my chainset and cassette make my bike faster and smoother to ride?you will need a crankset removal tool, these come in two sizes for different bottom brackets (square taper or splined). its probably a square taper on an older bike as splined is more recent. you will also need a cassette removal tool and a spanner/wrench to turn it. you may also need a chain whip to hold the cassette in place while you turn the spanner 9to prevent just turning the cassette). allan keys will likely be needed for the new crankset bolts, while a spanner is probably requires for undoing the old bolts.

when changing parts of the drivetrain, a new chain is recommended.

it will likely make the ride smoother and quieter. newer components tend to be lighter and will possibly make your ride quicker from reduced weight but it will only be a small reduction and won't make much speed difference. new cassettes should reduce the occurrence of ghost shifting or chain slipping which can be annoying.

so you can do it yourself, but for all the tools you need, unless you have them, its not really worth buying them to use once, unless you put them on ebay afterwards and get some money back. check prices for the work at a bike shop. if you have the componants they will usually fit them for you

Will changing my last name hurt me in a future political campaign?

I am considering running for the United States Senate in the future and I want to change my last name to my mother's maiden name in honor of my granddad. Do you think that this will come back to haunt me in a future political campaign??Will changing my last name hurt me in a future political campaign?Millions of people change their names everyday, sometimes to something that has nothing to do with them at all. Changing your name to your mother's maiden name is done all the time, it is common and rarely looked down upon. Doing it in honor of your grandad would actually help your career, showing you're genuine and noble.

List of famous people who have changed their name:

  • Will changing jobs before applying for a home loan effect my eligibility?

Me and my husband were thinking of buying our first home. I was wondering if it is bad for me to change jobs before we apply for a loan, even if it pays more. Will changing jobs before applying for a home loan effect my eligibility? It can affect eligibility, but it won't necessarily be a reason to turn you down.

My wife got a new position (as a temp) in May of 2005. She was hired permanently in September 2005. We closed on our house in November 2005.

In her case, she stayed in the same line of work and her income went up. Her job change diod not affect the status of our loan.

I also purchased a new truck in July of the same year (payments went up, but not by a large margin) and that also did not affect my loan.

I do recommend discussing budget with your loan officer or mortgage broker and asking about preapproval. This will make the buying process much smoother. It will prevent many potential delays in closing and will also prevent any potential embarrassment if you can not afford the house you want to buy. Will changing jobs before applying for a home loan effect my eligibility?I wouldn't recommend changing jobs. The length of time you spend at your current job is a HUGE factor in your home loan as is your income. Even if it pays more, I would hold off until the loan goes through. As in you sign the final papers and get the key to the house. Will changing jobs before applying for a home loan effect my eligibility?Yes, it can affect the outcome of your loan application. Generally, lenders like to see that you have been at a job for at least a year. If you want to change jobs, I would wait until after you are approved for a mortgage to change.

Good luck. Will changing jobs before applying for a home loan effect my eligibility? The major concern is whether it is a job in the same field or a diferent field of work.

For example if you are an engineer and change companies, but are still an engineer at the new company it will not have an effect, becauese you are in the same liine of work.

However if you are an engineer and change jobs to a different line of work, then it will have a large negative impact. Will changing jobs before applying for a home loan effect my eligibility?Yes it will -if you are applying for a stated income loan.

If you are going full documentation not really as long as you continue to work in the same field. Ex - Nurse moving to a different hospital. Will changing jobs before applying for a home loan effect my eligibility? It can create a hurdle, but not necessarily if the change is a lateral move. That is to say, if you are doing the same job for a different company. It is best to talk about the specifics with your mortgage broker. Will changing jobs before applying for a home loan effect my eligibility? It's o.k as long as the job you are changing to is in the same line of work you have been doing.. Otherwise if it's not then then underwriting will not like that.. Usually you have to be on the job for 2 years.. If it's the same type of work you do now then take the job if not take the job after the loan closesWill changing jobs before applying for a home loan effect my eligibility?Won't hurt you UNLESS it is in another line of work.

Don't go from a nurse, to a receptionist.

    Hope this helps.

Will changing the sim card on my AT&T phone force me to start a new contract?

Currently, in the plan there are 2 phones: my phone and my dads phone. Since his is broken, I was wondering if it's possible to buy a phone for him and then exchanging SIM cards so I can have the new one without starting a new contract. Will changing the sim card on my AT%26amp;T phone force me to start a new contract?Hi Ish,

As long as you get a phone that will use the Sim card you will be O.K. Be sure you get one that is compatible with the AT%26amp;T network. A GSM phone is your best bet.

I did that when my wifes phone died because our contract wasn't up and they wanted too much for a new phone.

Will changing my stock pickups to emgs make a big difference?

I play a lot of metallica and guns n roses and I have been thinking of changing the stock pickups in my art100 to am emg81 in the bridge and an emg60a in the neck and I also have a metal muff pedal and a peavey valveking 212 will changin the pickups make much of a difference in toneWill changing my stock pickups to emgs make a big difference? From my experience, if you're using pedals... your tone will always be dominated by the pedal and effects. My suggestion would be to perfect your tone using only a good amp and it's distortion channel. This will be the best way to judge what tone is produced from the guitar itself rather than the pedals. Then, if you decide to change pickups, you will have a better base to judge the true effect of the tone change. Will changing my stock pickups to emgs make a big difference? In general, yes. The distortion will be more saturated, and probably a little tighter overall. Stock pickups tend to suck, quite simply, and putting in some decent pickups almost always proves to be a huge benefit.

You will definitely hear a difference in the cleans, but I think that even though the Metal Muff is a very high gain pedal, you should hear a significant improvement. I used to play through a Mesa Boogie Tremoverb, had a nice hard rock tone a la Tool, System of a Down, etc, and even switching between two similar pickups (from a Seymour Duncan JB to an Alternative 8) gave me a significant tonal difference - less %26quot;icepick%26quot; treble and a tighter low end, even with lots of distortion.

Your amp and pedals are going to significantly color your tone, don't get me wrong, but good pickups give them a better place to *start* coloring your tone from. =)

SaulWill changing my stock pickups to emgs make a big difference?I don't think you'll hear a big change unless you're playing pure on some more subtle acoustic Metallica or G%26amp;R parts....the metal muff is gonna over rule the pick-up changes....a real cool(and cheaper) way to mess with tone for metal/rock is to grab a used Wah pedal somewhere and just set it in a %26quot;sweet spot%26quot; of tone that you really dig on...don't really use it for the Wah(unless U want to)..just use it for some cool tones and leave it set...a lot of greats do this....I play an Ibanez Artcore with a bigsby and a Dean Michael Schenker Flying V...both guitars are completely different/especially pick-ups but I gotta say that most of my sound comes through effects, amp(a VOX)and pick control/intensity....I've spent $350 on pick-up changes before and bummed out..laters!

Will changing the flour brand of cookies make a different affect?

This is my science project and i can't find anything about itWill changing the flour brand of cookies make a different affect?in some flours' the protein content is either higher or lower. this may cause the cookies to be harder or softer. but in most store bought flours as long as its all purpose' it will not make much of a difference. never over mix cookie dough. that would make the cookies a little tough.just remember; cake flour makes a soft cookie. bread flour makes a hard cookie. all purpose flour makes a semi soft cookie .with all cookies over baking will cause dryness and the cookies will not last long.hope this helps have a good day. Will changing the flour brand of cookies make a different affect?it could make a difference in taste ..but that is all ..some flours have different taste to the professional cooks and some flours have different qualities to cooks.

  • Will changing pickups in a hollow body guitar reduce feedback?

I have a Univox Coily, it's a copy of the Gibson 335. It is full hollow body electric guitar and when I turn the volume up on my amp, especially with high gain, I get tons of feedback that I can't get rid of, even if I hold the strings. Is this simply because the guitar is a hollow body guitar? Or can I eliminate the feedback by putting new pickups in it?Will changing pickups in a hollow body guitar reduce feedback? If you don't already have them, its possible that potted pickups will help. Basically, a potted pickup is one in which the coils are encased in a material (usually wax) to reduce feedback. The feedback I'm talking about here is like the feedback you'd get from a microphone, and that sounds like what you may be dealing with. No guarantees, but if you have the ability to try them with an option to return if they don't fix the problem it's worth considering. Will changing pickups in a hollow body guitar reduce feedback?I know this can be frustrating. A lot of it has to do with the fact that the guitar is a hollow body. I have a noise gate that eliminates feedback. Plug the guitar into the gate, then the gate plugs into the amp. The settings allow you to eliminated hum and undertones that cause feedback even when the guitar isn't being played. The Gibson is an awesome guitar, I wouldn't start messing around with the pickups! The fact that it is feeding back, probably means this guitar has great tone and probably won't feedback when the amp is turned down to a %26quot;jamming at home%26quot; level of sound. I'm assuming this is happening when you're at a gig or jamming with a band.

So my advice would be to find an in-line noise gate. It works great for me!Will changing pickups in a hollow body guitar reduce feedback? It's *possible* that better pickups might help. but I think the hollow body is your biggest enemy. If standing farther from the amp or playing at lower volume isn't an option, perhaps you could try stuffing foam rubber into the guitar cavities. Alternately, get a solid body guitar.

Will changing my MAC address remove the bandwidth limit?

I'm with robbers cable and I can understand that bandwidth capping was necessary BEFORE the days of blu ray and high definition material. I will like to see where robbers cable will go when the Playstation 4 comes out and HD becomes a true STANDARD! Enough of my rant now. Anyways, I read up that changing a MAC address is possible and there are plenty tutorials to do it. However, before I go through this I was wondering if changing my MAC address will get around this. Will changing my MAC address remove the bandwidth limit? No changing your MAC address will not remove the bandwidth. The action of changing your mac address only help in disguising yourself after or before you do something. IF you were blocked at a particular website address and you obtain different IP addresses from a router...you may be able to gain access to what ever you were blocked from.

In the case of a bandwidth block...your bandwidth is determined by the ISP cross referencing the mac address of your cable/dsl modem's mac address. IF you were to change it your mac address would be unidentified. Will changing my MAC address remove the bandwidth limit? So just in case the cable technicians are too stupid to realize that they have users wanting to look for ways around bandwidth capping.

If I owned/worked at the cable company and I had a customer trying to do this...if I could not find a work around for their work around then I would cancel their account.

Fixing your 360 has nothing to do with live at all, now if you did some stupid stuff on live they would ban youWill changing my 360 disk drive will ban me from Xbox live?nope

Will changing my spark plugs give me more performance?

I have a 2003 Grand Marquis and will going to a split fire or quad fire plug be benificail for me?Will changing my spark plugs give me more performance? No. The best plugs are those recommended by the manufacturer. None of the claims made by these aftermarket plugs live up to the hype. Will changing my spark plugs give me more performance? Not necessarily, a plug is a plug, you will notice a minimal difference. When I started my current job, I claimed one exemption on my W-4. I just learned that I could claim zero and more money would be withheld, resulting in a big tax return. (I have to admit, I get a high from a big tax return and am willing to scrimp a little extra to achieve this).

What I want to know is this: Is there a way I can find out how much my paycheck will change before I actually make the change? I work for a big company and HR is unlikely to be helpful enough to figure it out for me.Changing exemptions - how much will my paycheck change?http://www.paycheckcity.com/netpaycalc/n

On your W4 there is a line for additional withholding. You can enter an amount you would like withheld from your paycheck in addition to your current deduction for just 1 exemption.Changing exemptions - how much will my paycheck change?Circular E from the IRS, published every year, has tax tables showing approximate withholding for federal taxes. You can ask your payroll department for a copy of the page that applies to you, or find it online at www.irs.gov. If you are in a state that has withholding tax, they will also publish tax tables.

Depending on your pay level and whether you are single and married, federal tax usually increases around $10-$15 for each exemption decrease.Changing exemptions - how much will my paycheck change?go to www.irs.gov, individual, withholding calculator. This will tell you the correct withholding for you.

If you are trying to save money, perhaps you can have your bank or employer divert money from your paycheck into a savings account. This is much more sensible, because then at least you are drawing a small amount of interest.

I own a 1995 gmc Sierra 1500 5.7L 4x4 with 170,000 miles will changing to synthetic motor oil hurt anyhting??Will changing to synthetic motor oil hurt and older truck? It shouldn't hurt a thing-- nor should it leak, as long as all your seals and gaskets are good. If you find a leak, then you better track down the source and get it taken care of regardless of whether you're using %26quot;fossil%26quot; oil or synthetic.

I once had a neighbor who claimed switching to synthetic after years of running regular motor oil caused his engine to lock up. Of course, I found out later that he'd only been changing his oil once every year or so, while putting about 30,000 miles a year on his car. Methinks that had more to do with it than the switch from regular to synthetic oil! Will changing to synthetic motor oil hurt and older truck? No.

But it will leak oil. Will changing to synthetic motor oil hurt and older truck?i wouldnt switch to synthetic oil.just go with a high mileage oil.probably 10w30.Will changing to synthetic motor oil hurt and older truck? My first move when I buy a car...and I ONLY buy used cars...is to change the conventional oil out for synthetic. The oil serves to reduce the friction that can occur when metal parts touch and the higher viscosity (the degree to which a liquid flows) of synthetic oil means it will stay suspended longer and maintain a higher degree of lubrication so the parts will wear down less quickly. Will changing to synthetic motor oil hurt and older truck? My friend, changing to a top of the line full synthetic oil is the best thing you can do for your vehicles engine. The reason full synthetics are so expensive are because they are about three times better than regular lubricants. I started using full synthetics when they first came on the market. My 1995 Cummings diesel is over 200k and still holds the same oil pressure as when it was new. My 1996 Jeep cherokee the same. If you have oil leaks now then you will still have leaks when you change to the synthetic. The synthetic does nothing to cause leaks or prevent leaks, its just a mighty fine lubricant. You will however probably get more fuel mileage, extend your engines life and most of all You can go twice as long between oil changes. That's correct. I only change my oil and filter every 7000 miles. Been doing this for nearly 18 years now.

You will hear a lot of old wives tales\scare tactic's from people afraid to try the synthetics, but pay it no mind. It is sad that people listen to and pass on crap they know little to nothing about. I have a brother inlaw that drove his Oldsmobile v6 over 300k and only had to replace atimingg chaintension-err in those miles. He sold the car and it wa still on the road 2 years after he sold it.

My personal preference is the castrol full synthetic but any of the top name brands will be of like quality. You do still need to stay with the samerecommendedd weight specified by the factory. If the factory stated 10 w 30 then stay with 10 w 30

Take the plunge you will not be sorry

I have a genuine winxp license in my current 20 gb hard drive. I want to upgrade my hard drive to 80 gb. when i reinstall my winxp, will microsoft detect this as ungenuine copy? Will changing my hard drive affect my genuine winxp license?Anytime you change hardware in that respect as you are doing, you have to reactivate your software. But as long as you have the product key that came with your XP software, it's not going to be a problem. Will changing my hard drive affect my genuine winxp license?it may you can go to youtube and do a search for activating windows lic. and there are steps i you need it. for the cost why stop at 80 gigs not very big for a hard drive today. if you put music and do any video work you will eat that space up fairly quickly. unless you are using the 80 gig just for storage drive. that may be the best option. to make the 80 gig a secondary storeage drive ? just a thought.

    wpa.bak

    wpa.dbl

These are your current activation files when you activated your windows.

Install your Windows onto the 80GB drive, hold off on activating the software until after you do the following. Then go to the same directory as before. rename the current two files there and put the ones from the flash drive into that directory.

This saves you a lot of headaches when you reinstall Windows into the same computer.

Will changing my name before I get married affect my life in a negative way ?

I want to change my last name, so that it's legally hyphenated. So the end result will be %26quot; Antonio 'new middle name' lastname-'newlastname' %26quot; (or maybe just have two middle names, with my new last name not being hyphenated). My fiance thinks this will cause bad things to happen once we get married, in terms of credit, my house, etc. What potential bad things can happen, or should she not worry ?Will changing my name before I get married affect my life in a negative way ?If you change it legally thru the courts; nothing to worry about. Will changing my name before I get married affect my life in a negative way ?You can change your name through the courts and nothing will happen. Credit, jobs, etc. depend mostly on your SS number. I believe-somone correct me if I am wrong-that you can just start using a different name and as long as you use it always and for everything, that is a legal way to change too. Like if you are Mary and you want it to be Mari, then you just always sign with Mari.

What will changing my address with USPS do?

When I change my address with the USPS what does it actually do? Does it just forward everything for a month or so? Will it actually change my billing address for my credit card and bank statements or will I still have to change my address with all the doctors, ebay, amazon, the bank, etc.?What will changing my address with USPS do?Yes you still have to let anyone who mails things to you know that your address has changed. The post office just forwards the mail to you so you know who you still need to contact. after your forwarding time is up the mail will then be sent back to the post office and be thrown away. Unless the new tenants keep it! Which can only lead to no good.

I know all this because I have moved over 5 times, and my father has worked at the post office for over 40 years. I do recommend having everything forwarded so if you forget a bill or company it will still get to you and not some stranger who may or may not send it back. What will changing my address with USPS do?If you go to the Post Office and get the change of address package, it will include cards to send to all those you wish to have your new address. Your mail will be forwarded for a period of time but this doe's not insure that you will receive all of it. What will changing my address with USPS do?No, although it will change where they post office delivers the bills, which is not optimal. You need to notify each biller of the change of address, unless it is only temporary. Some will accept a change of address over the phone, but most require written notice, for your protection. If you don't want to go to the expense of sending each and everybody a separate letter of notification, most places you will be sending payments, offer address-change sections on their invoices.

Will changing you ip evade a gamebattles ban?

I will just make a new user after I power off the modem for 24 hours, will this work? Will changing you ip evade a gamebattles ban?Powering off the modem may not renew the IP. I had ours offline for at least 13 hours and still got the same IP when we came back online. It depends whether your ISP hands out static IPs. Ours does. They *will* change it if we can show legitimate cause for doing so. Avoiding a ban won't cut it.

And it depends how they work out where you are from. We had great fun catching out one kid who used to mess around in a forum pretending to be different people (frequently at the same time) but we worked out who it was each time despite the change in IP address. Wouldn't take long either. As soon as someone started playing up, we checked IP addresses and his would always be so close to his old one, we'd know it was him. That's what will happen to you, too. His changed every couple of minutes and we still knew it was him as soon as he turned up and every post he made. Took him a while before he got it that we really DID know who he was EVERY time. Will changing you ip evade a gamebattles ban?It will if by powering your modem off really change your IP address.

If you know your previous IP address, make sure that your IP address is a different one before creating a new user ( http://whatismyipaddress.com/ ).

Hope this helps :)Will changing you ip evade a gamebattles ban?The best way to change your IP address is through a proxy. The website has banned your computers IP address, but if you use an IP changer, then you can continue visit the site. I've been using a product from a software called Private Proxy. The software will change your IP address every thirty minutes, so if they try to ban you again... You檒l be able to able to return 30 minutes later under a new IP. The software will provide you with up to 10 different IP's under 4 different servers for maximum security. Visit the source below for more information.

Will changing banks affect my credit rating?

I have had an account with HSBC since I was a child, but about 4 years ago I switched to Natwest. I'm considering switching back to HSBC because I'm not happy with the overall communication natwest provides. Will this affect my credit rating? Will changing banks affect my credit rating?Do not close the card cause it lower you available credit line. You also can use this service to pre-estimate future scores for different scenarios of credit card payments. - freecreditreport.sinfree.netWill changing banks affect my credit rating?no, if it's a normal savings account then it should'nt. As long as you dont have any outstanding credit card bills or loans with that bank. Will changing banks affect my credit rating?noWill changing banks affect my credit rating?A change of bank will be recorded on your file by the credit reference agencies, and could possibly have some effect on your credit score, depending on the company scoring you. Credit score is not directly related to reference files information but the contents of that file are taken into account when companies rte your credit-worthiness. I would be inclined to think that the situation you quote would probably not have much effect on your credit rating, but only a company offering credit could make this decision. Will changing banks affect my credit rating? No, provided you don't leave the account in arrears/overdrawn, etc, it has no impact at all. Will changing banks affect my credit rating? No. Obviously the longer you are with a bank, the more a company tends to favour you, or rather, it goes in your favour, for example, when you apply for a credit card, store card, loan, etc., you are always asked how long you have been with your current bank, but switching banks won't alter your credit rating. Will changing banks affect my credit rating? It should not affect your credit rating unless you cancel credit cards. If it is just a savings and checking account then it should not affect your credit at all.
