Will changing traditional HW radiators to flat panel (Runtal VLX) cause Boiler to cycle more often?

We are contemplating changing a gravity HW radiator system to low profile flat panel radiators (Runtal) (we've already changed to a new boiler and added a pump). My concern is that given the flat panels have far less mass, and water volume, that the furnace / boiler and pump will be required to cycle on and off far more frequently. Generally speaking anything mechanical that frequently cycles on and off wears out quicker.

We've changed out one old radiator to a flat panel and found that (even though the BTU output is supposed to be matched to the room by a Runtal rep.) the room never gets as warm as it used to with the large mass radiator.

I am looking for confirmation on the equipment life question, And that the change is also ultimately less energy efficient than the older larger mass system (assumes high efficiency boiler/furnace on both). Will changing traditional HW radiators to flat panel (Runtal VLX) cause Boiler to cycle more often?I think you need to get a very knowledgable HVAC person who understands hot water systems. This is a very detailed question that you need the Runtal rep and your HVAC contractor to look at.

Are you sure that you can use the flat panels on a gravity HW system? Can you mix and match? Can you put in a high efficiency boiler and pump on pipes designed for gravity HW?
