I am considering running for the United States Senate in the future and I want to change my last name to my mother's maiden name in honor of my granddad. Do you think that this will come back to haunt me in a future political campaign??Will changing my last name hurt me in a future political campaign?Millions of people change their names everyday, sometimes to something that has nothing to do with them at all. Changing your name to your mother's maiden name is done all the time, it is common and rarely looked down upon. Doing it in honor of your grandad would actually help your career, showing you're genuine and noble.
