Will changing my factory delco stereo cd player in my 1998 monte z34 make any difference in the computer?

Ok I really want to get a new custom stereo for my car, it has the cd delco radio in it. And I want to know if I will still be able to use my steering wheel controls and the reseting/computer functions for the engine. If anyone know what I can/cannot do with it hit me hit. I just want to hook my ipod up to it and subsWill changing my factory delco stereo cd player in my 1998 monte z34 make any difference in the computer?it wont affect the computer as far as i know, but to make the steering wheel controls work you will need to buy a adapter, and the only company i know that makes them is PAC audio, what i did in my car (a 02 Grand Prix Gt) was buy a pioneer deck (P6000UB) then buy the adapter that is compatible with that radio (The PAC SWI-PS) otherwise there is a universal one but it is crap, it wont work when there is sunlight shining on it, i had a hell of a time finding a compatible deck to work with the adapters they sell, so i would just buy these :

the problems happends on 2000 and up

you can also get a PAC interface and use the steering wheel controls with the new radio

or keep the factory radio and use this ipod interface
