Will changing my IP adress ensure my safety from authorities while downloading torrents?

Hey everyone. I'm a little confused about getting protection from authorities and downloading safely from the internet without being caught. Will changing my IP adress using Torproject.org make me hard to reach by authorities? Any help is appreciated. Will changing my IP adress ensure my safety from authorities while downloading torrents? It may help a bit, but your ISP always has a log of your IP and all activity. If you just happen to be online downloading a torrent when that source is raided, your IP will be on the list.

It might take some work for ploice to actually find you, and usually they don't go after the small fry, but if you happen to be on at the wrong time, downloading from the wrong place, they can nail you too.

It's all a matter of chance for low end torrent users. 99% of the time, they won't even see you...but....Will changing my IP adress ensure my safety from authorities while downloading torrents?1) They can simply request for logs from Torproject.org

2) They can trace your IP addresses. Eg 192.168.1.1 %26gt;%26gt;%26gt; 233.111.111.11 %26gt;%26gt;%26gt; torproject's 123.123.123.123 %26gt;%26gt;%26gt; blabla.

3) They can still go to your computer, and check whether your computer is full of %26quot;warez%26quot;.Will changing my IP adress ensure my safety from authorities while downloading torrents?Yes it may make it harder for them...ect check out peerguardian.
