My Camcorder is being repaired will changing the heads also change my camera's output quality?

Will changing the heads on a camcorder change anything? If you need to know the camcorder is a Sony TRV 740. I just wanted to know if it affects anythingMy Camcorder is being repaired will changing the heads also change my camera's output quality?unless you are a newreporter for a TV station and use your camera all day every day, there is no reason to expect that your heads are worn out. the only reason for a replacement would be for physical damage which is really unlikely unless you are the kind of person that has to clean the heads with a stick. When recording digital, there is no area of %26quot;incremental%26quot; improvement, the picture is either there or aint. Sony no longer supports this camera, so i don't know if this model has analog tape playback. for quality on analog playback, that is more a factor of tape tracking, which is super critical. if your analog tapes were recorded not at standard or in a deck with poor tape tension, then they may not playback in this camera.
