Will changing the channel of a wireless network degrade the signal in any way?

Well, I'm sick of being disconnected everytime a microwave is turned on (Channel 6) and a phone (Channel 11). So I'm wondering if you can reccomend a good channel and, tell me if it will it degrade the signal? Thanks. Will changing the channel of a wireless network degrade the signal in any way?Of course not.

Try all of them. Somewhere in between sounds good.

Don't take life too seriously, you won't get out alive. Will changing the channel of a wireless network degrade the signal in any way? It's great that you're narrowing down your devices to a specific frequency range.

You can get equally good signal from any channel between 1 and 11. The only issue is interference. I'd say that Channel 1 is farther away from the interference than anything between 6 and 11.

Microwaves cover a broad range. You'd be lucky to eliminate the interference with a channel change.

Another way to fight is to use repeaters, or if this is a desktop, to run a direct wire. Repeaters will let you have a stronger signal all over the house, and fight interference better.
